Right, im starting from scratch in building a pure gaming PC. no Video encoding, just storage for songs, and games and thats it!

so with that in mind i would be greatful if you guys and gals could cast your collective knowledge over this setup and make sure im not going to be disappointed

Project BLACKOUT ( want it all black inside theme )

Processor i5 2500k ( many people say the i7 is pointless for gaming )

Case - Corsair 600T White ( love the looks )

Mobo - Gigabyte Z68 ud5 (again love the layout of the board )

RAM - Mushkin Blackline 1600mhz 9-9-9-24 Timing ( or i can do Blackline 2133mhz, 10-11-10-28 Timing ) whats the difference ??

PSU - Corsair Ax850

GPU - EVGA Gtx570 Superclocked

BOOT - 120gb Kingston Hyper X SSD

Storage - 1tb Western Dig Caviar Black

Cooler - Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro ( i know Noctua beats it, but wont fit in with the theme, and i only plan a mild overclock )

feel free to tear holes in my build if its gonna stop me doing something silly, i value you opinion and advice!

also could i get the P67 version of my mobo or should i stick to Z68 now?

gonna light up the inside with with either White light tubes, or that led strip stuff...

You will get 6-8% more performance from 2133mhz ram.

Rest of your specs looks good.
