Hello everyone.

I have decided to build a cheap little system as i had some time on my hands recently as im not working for awhile.

My aim was to just build a 3 monitor gaming set-up to play a really non graphics intensive game called Team Of Fortress. Myu nephews also like playing it when they come over so thought it should be a better experience with Eyefinity.

Ive had a gaming system ive had before which put pics up on OC3D but i ended up selling it as i hardly used it.

So anyway, these parts i have used wont wow anyone lol and they are very low end and cheap but they do the job so thats what matters =00=

I have also got a few Videos i am uploading to Youtube as we speak.

I think people will be surprised to see the results on this set-up.

How will BF4 play on this with only 4GB and a Dual Core chip? What do you guys rekon lol?

Parts:

Intel 1150 G3258 3.2 Stock Clock - £38 + £3 Ebay

Gigabyte H81M Motherboard USB 3.0 - PCI 3.0 - £19 (refurbished) + 2.50 Ebay

XFX HD 6870 1GB - £38 inc Post Gumtree

4GB Crucial Ballistx Sport 1600mhz DDR3 £20 Gumtree

PSU: 600w FSP Group, Came with a Packard Bell Gaming PC back in 2008 but works great lol

White USB 3.0 Case - £39

3 x Samsung 1650x1050 Monitors @ £20 each including Dell Professional Stands brand new. £60 Total.

2 x Display Port to VGA active adaptors £8 in total.

Fantastic - love what you've done for the money. What drives did you put in there?

Hey thanks! The drivers are the latest i found for Windows 8.1 ill update you on the version a little later :)

wait, is that an NZXT case that you got for £30?

I have bought 2 nzxt full size phantoms for £30 and £40 before but in the case this case is not a nzxt, its just a cheapo case i paid £39 for new.

Quick little preview vid :)

Just wanted Point out the brightness settings for the 3rd monitor was turned down to very low hence why it looks dimmer. All 3 monitors now have the same display settings and look perfect :p

Also moved to rig gallery.

Looking good mate, that's how you do a budget build. Where did you get those active DP adapters mate, I've got a friend who needs a couple.

Thanks glad you guys like!

Ok, active mini DP adaptors can be bought on enay for £3.00. Some are cheaper but even these cheap ones do the job great. Ive had one for a year now and no problems.

Yes im gaming with only 4GB on Medium settings @ 5220x1050 and im getting a avg fps of 40 its never dipped below 35 fps even while in heavy battle And its only a pentium dual core. Low settings gives me a greater fps of 60fps.

Another thing is that the fact im using VGA and Adaptors it still doesnt show any screen tearing or lag. Response is perfect on these good old TN panels. I really like these samsung monitors picture quality is super for they are.
