Pictures speak louder than words. This is a budget bencher/24/7 for a guy on XS, incredibly cheap really on both regards. 1/2hp rechi rotary (medium loud/quiet (if your frag ;)), 120mm condenser, 36" flex, NoL/DetroitAC evap.

More pics when I braze her up.

Yup I think it could handle dual evap, maybe I"ll pul that off when my cash system expands. As for now I have 2 of these, and 3 of the 81-Series I beleive.

Actually most likely straight r22 depending on performance, the cash from this may get me a big 25lbs of r507 though to play with.

Actually was out on a date tonight with the gal ;)

Building will commence this weekend, probably finishing too ;)

Built the unit today, took about 2 hours to put it together with full purging. Capillary length is around 8' I beleive at this time and its tucked into the suction.

The unit is TWELVE INCHES LONG. Incredibly small!

wow looks great dude! thx for postin up the pix. how much longer till u get to fire it up for the first time? and is it going inside of anything or just mounted to some wood?

Get us some more pix with frosty treats on the evap :)

Frosty treats probably around end of tomorrow if the vac goes well. Same length till I fire her up. And no case for this one to keep the costs down, just a bit of wood board and an electrical switch!.

Awesome, whatever works. Can't wait for the frost pix0rz.

looking good so far bro, keep up the good work:cool: :yumyum:

what sort of price do these 'budget' units fetch? sub $250?

cheers.

I want as cold as possible at 200watts of load, this tuning will be pretty easy I think if the capillary's right, but I think i'll have to shorten it more. Temps with a 1/2hp rotary? Could be as cold as -45C at load? I'm honestly not sure ;)

This unit is in the $3xx range.
