Hi,

I was playing Crysis 2 for about 2 hours when i had a BSOD and loud screeching from the speakers i loaded hwmonitor in bios after

nothing was abnormal NB was 56oC though. cpu is 24 hour prime stable so i dunno what caused the crash.

Could it just of been random as i have played crysis longer than 2 hours on multiply time before and it never happened.

i have stress tested that too for several hours.

i think it was a once off as i have been playing crysis now and nothing.

i got the bsod again today after playing empire total war for 3 hours.

i dunno what is causing this ive tested the memory cpu and gpu.

I got the same-ish problem as you when playing Civ V. CPU OC is prime stable yet I'm getting BSOD.

It's frustrating.

Can you write the technical information the BSOD shows if it happens again. Technical details are at the bottom and details above "If this is the first time..."

Yeah a bit more information would be good, e.g. the XXXXXX_XXXXXXX_XXXXXX information.

From what I gathered 0x124 is hardware error, this unfortunately doesn't make it any simpler however you can narrow it down by the information requested above.

There are many reasons for this error, such errors inlude:

  • overheating components
  • unstable components
  • inadequate airflow
  • motherboard dying

As you listed the northbride temp above, im guessing that is overheating because of inadequate airflow.

i wouldnt say i had any of them everything is tested and apart from the NB temps nothing goes past what it can.

it chould be a driver issue i just updated to 11.5 on CCC
