Broken images on web [SOLVED]

I cant seem to figure this one out... I feel like it started around the time I updated to the 8.1.1 but not positive.

I have to reload web pages about 50% of the time because it wont load all the pics? sometimes it wont even load the page and I have to reload multiple times

I have re-booted, restarted chrome, cleared the cache....

it seems i am not the only one.. and so far this works. If you have 8.1 and have this issue try this:

found here: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/7-issues-windows-8-1-can-fixed/

...Credit goes to MakeUseOf user Konstantin for his comment, which seemed to solve the issue for a lot of people. Konstantin suggests entering the Control Panel and opening the ‘Network and Sharing Centre’. Once there, click on ‘Change adapter settings’, then right-click on your active network. On the menu that appears, choose ‘Properties’, highlight ‘Internet Protocol Version 4′, choose ‘Properties’ again and change the Preferred DNS server to 8.8.8.8 and the Alternate DNS Server to 8.8.4.4. Click OK to close the windows and your Internet should be working once again

Far from it, Nothing bloated about it, I have both FF and GC installed on my rig and apart from looks and Chrome not loading all the time speed wise I can't tell them apart.

I use mainly firefox, sometimes opera! Firefox can get bogged down with addons if there are tonnes, but some can come in so handy. Chrome i've never used, and tbh if i were to change it would be all on opera from ff.

I do like how smooth/fast opera is when just browsing!

Opera is great although it makes alot of sites look a bit odd compared to other browsers. OC3D looks a bit odd and runs slightly differently compared to firefox for example.

if you're in chrome, open up the dev window look under the network tab and see if it's trying to load them, or if there are errors, (DNS/header etc) or if the requests are just taking a long time.

Two servers I frequent at work often just flat out refuse to resolve properly in chrome, making it look like they're down. Then they work fine in Firefox.

Don't forget, chrome IS google they pull in an awful lot of data with it whether you like it or not. If a site isn't working it could be because chrome is trying to ping it from their DNS servers blah blah blah.

TL:DR;

Try a different browser (other than IE, IE should burn)

ok using firefox for 4 minutes.. already an issue. I cant sign in to Twitter? its not saying wrong password etc... just returns to login screen lol

EDIT: had to wipe history.... odd
