broke 100k on aquamark @ last.

15k with just a cpu change? I haven't benched aqua in a while but I'm suprised it would be that much.

Is the fx cpu you're waiting for the 57?

yes m8 the fx 57 90 nm.............. hoping the fx 57 will do 3.5 ghz

thats 650 mhz more than mine now and has more cache....

Great scores Daz,

Yep I am scoring 110k now with FX55 @ 3.25G

Top 6 at the moment under maverik-sg1

So if FX57 can do 3.25 then perhaos even 118k is possible.

Although I am tempted by the san diego 4000+ or even the 4200+ which is FX53 and FX55 with fixed upward multiplier, improved mem controller and 90nm throughout.

cheers thx for all your support ppl............. cant wait for my new cpu....;)

Daz what 6800s are you using and what clocks? The link doesn't say. Also when if the 57 due out? and do you think it will suffer from the cold boot issues?

I have seen preliminary results for the venice core and there are no cold boot issues on them.

Later winchesters do not appear to have the cold boot issue either - one would assume FX57 4000 and 4200 San Diego cores will be the same.

Rumour has it that the San Diego unit is just a 'GOLDEN' Sample of each of the venice waifers which is then assembled with 1mb L2 cache.

I am using dual 6800GT's 448/1180 on my FX55 which is clocked at 3.24Ghz at which point I managed to score top 6 world ranking of 110k+ you can see me on the front page of the Aquamark hall of fame.

Congrats to Daz - but a long way to go to beat me, in fact it's one of the few benchies where I am doing really well so I am clinging on to my glory ;)

32m superpi in 23m07s

3dm2001se 36500ish

3dm05 11455

3dm03 24700ish

BTW - I got over 105k using a 3500 winchester on the same 6800 set-up

Cheers

I think we will be seeing reviews for both Venice 3800 and FX57 in May editions of most magazines.

SD's will no doubt be like rocking horse doo doo in the first few months mainly due to the fact that they are (supposedly) speed binned venice cores and production will be ramped up over a number of months. If we say that less than 5% of the total yield will be SD cores thats a very small number to spread aorund the world.

FX55's are hard to get hold of now and remember Winchester availablity when they first came out?

Of course if you look around there are still tonnes of Newcastle and Winchester units out there - resellers have got to get rid of curent stock before the new stuff is made available, which will only add to the delays.

I doubt AMD have learned that releasing a product and making it readily available are two of a kind.

wow very impressive daz, just broke 50k myself (only have a 9800pro).

dont suppose you remember selling me this RAM? Think I may need to RMA it as it gets memtest errors at 250FSB after about 6 cycles and I can't push it any furthur than 260FSb regardless of timings or voltages.

Sorry for hijacking ure thread!
