Go figure??

Had loads of green screen things going on earlier today and I dentified it as one of the 7800GTX's playing up (suspect RAM blown up).

Sent for RMA - and then started to re-fit stock cooler and get it ready to be returned.

Wanted to check it was all original so I popped it back in my rig and hey presto - the bugga's working again???

The last two days have been very trying and I am perplexed as to what caused the 'failure' and what changed to make it work again??

Confused (but happy) of EPUK

Sounds like a case of "hardware magic" as i like to call it.

That sort of thing has happened to me before, i built a rig quickly once, turned it on and nothing would show on the screen. Checked obvious things like power connector to graphics card etc, got annoyed and left it overnight with the aim of troubleshooting in the morning.

Came down in the morning, pressed power button (more out of blind hope than expectancy) and it booted fine, has run perfectly ever since

As you said, go figure?

Glad to hear it's working again.

Your abosolutely right - no explanation or reason, I think the F**K up fairy cursed me and then revoked the curse overnight!!

Either way I am eternally grateful and this is reflected in my commitment to bring forth a new Republic where the good knights of TEAM EPUK can restore benchmarking balance to the force of extreme overclocking!!

As this is my 700th Post I say go see Star Wars EPIII - Deffo the one to watch that helps brings acceptance (not forgiveness to Episodes 1&2).

TEAM EPUK RULES!!

:D
