I'm a big Borderlands Fan Boy and Borderlands games were one of the few preorderes I did in the past. But Epic Store exclusivity kept me from instantly preordering it. I will have a look and see how the situation unfolds, but I might actually wait till the game releases on steam. I am not necessarily against the epic launcher. But I kind of want to have my Borderlands gamesd in one place. Cloud Saves are also important to me. And possible dlc that I would only buy in a steam sale when it's dirt cheap. So BL3 release might be may for me, but I am not sure yet.

Just amazes me how sad and pathetic the gaming community is. Borderlands 1 and 2 review bombed because of B3 exclusive deal with Epic.

Of course they won't. The immaturity will kick in, and their willpower to resist will fail. You won't have anyone admit to it though. But they will buy from Epic.
Afterall, out of the thousands review bombing. I bet 50% of them have the Epic launcher anyway because of Fortnite.
What they fail to realise is that review bombing hurts Steam as well, since they lose out on their 30% sale. Its the only reason why they work hard to block the negative comments. They want their easy cut of the profit afterall.
To be honest I think a good portion of these people will follow through and wait or not buy or some who don't play online will probably just pirate(Though maybe always would have from the start), they're just a vocal minority in the grand scheme of things nowadays(Particularly for blockbuster AAA games), gaming is a massive industry and most people who consume this multi billion dollar media form don't follow it as a hobby or care much for the "politics" going on behind the scenes, and even then most gamers probably don't care about this Epic stuff, but it will always be the angriest ones who are the loudest.

Their loss. But for all the borderlands fans out there saying they only want steam. I am pretty sure they will not be able to resist a day 1 purchase.
I wonder why I bother answering on this stupidity. I can't quite understand why it triggers me so much. We need this competition to bring Gabe and Valve into check.
I'll happily use what ever launcher is necessary.
