Hi Guys,

Well as you may have noticed I've not really been in the scene much recently, due to money lol.

However after a rather strange month I have managed to get hold of my new rig. Well not NEW but better than the 800Mhz lappy i been on.

My rig is now,

2500+ Barton (Unlocked multi)

MSI Mobo of some form

1Gb DDR 3200 TwinMOS

ATI Radeon 9800pro with Arctic Cooler

120Gb IDE HDD

DVD-RW

DVD

Some asorted water cooling left over from last build

and the most amazing....

My old Mach 1 back in my hands :D

Im in the process of converting my current Antec case to fit because Im bored of Lian Li and the look they have, so will update this thread as it goes on.

Cheers

Check out that twinMOS, see if its got Winbond chips, could be onto a winner there if it has.

Not a bad gaming system there, especially if its an NF2 mobo.

Very similar to a system I used to have apart from the mobo - used to have abit nf7-s

minstadave - Had the same thought and there not Winbond chips :( Only BH5 I have is 256Mb OCZ Plat 3500 and I refuse to run a system with 256Mb RAM lol.

nick25 - Had that mobo before under this exact Mach 1 aswell. Got my Barton 3000+ up to 3.5Ghz before I sold the system for an FX53 and Mach II lol. Wish I hadnt sold that chip now, was amazing!

As far as the mobo I have atm, its a VIA chipset so will be crap at clocking. I'm looking for a real cheap NF7-s v2 atm cos I love that board to bits and it's the daddy for overclocking Bartons, especially they 2500's.

Got the case and the Mach I together today. Took a LOT of rivets being drilled out and having to cut a hole for the back plate throught 1mm thick steel but it's getting there. I need to buy another case the same as this to mod into the kit for the Mach I, but I think that will have to wait till I can get the moolar together.

Phil don't spose you have any standard black Mach II panels lying around you don't want do you? ;)

Cheers

Wow - 3.5Ghz out of a barton! wonder how that would compare to a A64...

I've got some of the standard panels spare if you want em dude, they are a bit scratched but a new coat of paint would have em looking fine

Make sure to get some pics up when you're done - and some superpi times - love to see how this thrashes the new stuff!

Well as always with my projects, its going slow lol.

Finished the case off finaly, and running the system on air atm so I can carry on playing SWG. Just trying to decide on an SLI system aswell so this may take a back seat place to that while I have some fun, which could be on water.

I'll get some pics up ASAP of how it is atm, but the thing is MASSIVE!!!

Also found out that this MSI board has a VIA chipset so will probly be useless for overclocking which means a prommy will b a little wasted, but all fun at the same time :(

I'll let you know how it goes.

Cheers
