Blu ray drives/burners

can someone help me out? im going to buy a blu ray drive so i can watch movies. but does that mean i would have to a buy a regular drive to play games.etc?
 
If you mean regular as in DVD or CD drive then as it's backwards compatible. I'm sure you've heard of or seen the PS3 with it's Blu Ray drive that you can stick in a DVD or CD. Just trying to give a simple example, but yea if that's not what you meant then could you elaborate?

yes thanks im going to buy a blu-ray reader and a regular burner because i won't be burning blu-ray discs. Any blu-ray players you would recommend?
 
id reccomend a samsung or a LG blu ray drive

check newegg.com if you want to get more brands

but id deff reccomend those brands
 
bluray drives do it all mate they even burn dvds and cd's you dont need 2 drives.

pioneer,sony and samsung make good drives whats ur budget
 
Make sure to grab a Bluray drive that will burn DVDs and CDs there are quite a few of them out there and they aren't expensive at all compared to the cost of just a Bluray drive and then a seperate DVD burner.
