Bloody weather...

In this ridiculous heat my Mach I has let my CPU get as high as 57 degrees!!! I'm assuming this is a weather issue anyways....It didn't stay there long- it rocketed up there when i opened a third IExplore window whilst listening to Winmp...and I think it's also getting used to my overclock (just this second done it), I noticed when it was OC'd on air temps took almost a week to stabilise...they're all over the place at the mo, very volatile to adding even a tiny bit of load.

Hope it doesn't get much hotter!

i think you have a bad contact with the CPU you will never reach 57C with a prommie even in the hottest of weather.

Hmm, thats what I thought....although as it's a P4 there isnt 100% contact anyway....only about two thirds actually touching. Could be down to that too?

the brass mounting clip thing can be positioned in 2 ways so you need to make sure you have it positioned for the mach head to give your cpu the best contact. does not matter if theres only about 2/3 contact it will still do the job.

Aha. Then yes, must not be getting great contact. Will have to look at that. Cheers chiyau
