I/O Magic Gigabank 250GB External USB2.0 HDD, $40 after rebates. Quite a steal imo, I thought they'd go like water but there were still some left at 8am.

Judging by the model number the drive itself appears to be a Seagate Barracuda 7200.8, which is good news; initial testing shows 14MB/s write, 22MB/s read. Only issues are cosmetic; the front panel is scratched like someone's been toting it around for 6 months, and the rear panel that has the port labels isn't on well, I'll have to glue it. Of course these don't affect the operation of the drive, but certainly doesn't increase your confidence in the company if a piece is falling off right out of the box...
 
Ooh sounds like a steal as you said, did anyone get any flash memory? They looked really cheap especially Frys.
 
I might have picked one up if there were some left... I was #220 in line at Circuit City and they were gone by the time I got in the store at 5:20
