o i found a shop that still has an old stock of z77 mobos. I want to buy one of these 3 as a backup for my z77 extreme 4 for as im now fully committing (delidded) to that platform and will be selling my MSi z97m gaming + i5 4690k (not much improvement from z77 + my i7 overclocks better)

TZ77XE3 $135
Z77X UP7 $220
Z77MX D3H $95

Im considering the biostar as my 1st option but not so sure about its quality and last option is the up7. The price are like from 2013 but maybe i can haggle. Anyone had that biostar board?

Im planning to basic watercool my setup with the h240x + gpu. Will not be upgrading in maybe 5 years cause im just gaming and i think it will still be able to play top end games til 2020+

If it was me i wouldn't even touch the BioStar motherboard with a 10 foot pole, I would go for the Z77X-UP7 i know it's $220, IMO Gigabyte is more of a trust able brand than BioStar.

I went there today and found out there was still a z77 UD5H($175), Sniper m3 eatx($195) and z68 m2 (but i didnt ask for the price). Still havent made a decision so i decided to ask 1st you guys.

Plan 1: buy 1 board
Im considering the ud5h because of its colors, the sniper also for the scheme and wifi module, finally the up7 because of its Awesomeness but its too much for me it's professional stuff.

Plan 2: buy 2 boards

If i can haggle the price of sniper and UD5H cmbined down to $320. This is only if i can haggle so if i wont be able then i dont know anymore?

I need help guys

Why would you buy 2 boards? The Biostar and Z77mx D3h aren't going to be great overclockers, which is something you seem to want so that's a no from me.

If the UP7 is too expensive, that means my vote goes to either the UD5H or Sniper M3. They'll probably be very similar so you might as well pick something you like the look of best. Please don't run WiFi on a desktop computer unless you have no other choice

$320 for two boards. The sniper is a premium board man. 320 is like the price of sniper in 2013

Yes, but that was also 3 years ago.

Why would you need 2 motherboards anyway? Just spend the money saved on a nice SSD or something.

I plan to sell the one that im using so i can get both the ud5h and the sniper. Both are 12 phases and the build quality is just great. Also i just want to add, i live in ph and the isp in my specific place is crappy and not worth it (100kb/s) im just connecting to our neighbor thats why i would like to try that wifi module of the sniper board

I plan to use the ud5h as a back up cause im not into the hype train of intel releasing new gens to milk us consumers with more expensive cpus and boards that are bad overclockers and probably 10% faster than the previous gen. I just love the z77 man, i dont think ill be letting go now that intel is focusing more on mobile. So much for that, i just want this insurance until 2020 at least i think
