BIOSTAR lists their upcoming AM4 X370 GT3, GT5 and GT7 motherboards with 3600MHz memory support, hinting that AMD's Ryzen CPUs will be capable of handling high memory clock speeds.

Doesn't matter if every other company is doing a black socket so should they.

Can't better that much of an higher cost to do a black socket.

It makes it stick out like a sore thumb if every thing else is "black".

It doesn't matter which color the socket is.. Really! Heck when the cpu is installed its prettymuch covered up 90%

Its about the boards performance and price, not a socket color that doesn't have any effect.
