BIOS Update Asrock N68-S3 UCC

I have a fairly old PC and since I can't afford a new one I'm trying to get the most of it and I heard that updating the BIOS can help that. My current BIOS version is 1.30 and as you can see on this page there are different versions. My question is if i download "1.60 Update CPU code. Windows®" will there be any problems/compatibility issues ? My CPU is AMD Athlon II x2 250 3ghz (oc-ed to 3,45)

You should be fine with the update.

However the 1.6v wont give you any boost to your current configuration.
from 1.3 - 1.6 they only added new cpu support + Cpu core unlocking .
Your current cpu does not support any core unlocking, unless you are thinking about upgrading your cpu, the bios update wont give you any boost.
