bios for asus formula vi

Hi I currently have a formula vi motherboard with a 4770k cpu.

im on bios version 0804 and was wondering what version I should be running?

im new to this and have never updated a bios on a motherboard before it looks like I can use a usb stick to update which will be nice but just wanted to make sure I update to the correct version before I do anything.

also is there a way to back up my existing bios in case I run in to any issues?

Thanks Baz

Wow first post and I've managed to put it in the wrong section, sorry

Anychance it can be moved? Or shall I delete and restart?

Thanks

Just go to the Asus website and download it - put it on a USB stick on its own if you can - I think youll need winrar to unzip it - then just go to the bios tool and flash it from there (it will restart a few times after its done so dont touch it till it gets back to the desktop (it will need to update the ROG module too)

As long as you do that youll be totally fine :)

The board has two bios chips on there anyways so you shouldnt need to worry :)
