BF2 problem

My mate is trying to play BF2 but after a minute or so of play he gets an error message stating punkbuster detected a problem driver error 80251.

Any one know whats causing it and how to fix it.

He does not use cheats and hasnt changed any settings for ages, it just started a couple of days ago.

It might be because PunkBuster isn't up-to-date. It's supposed to update itself automatically but I'm sure mine doesn't. You can update it manually though.

Cheers Will get him to check it out, found a site in german saying that the problem could be caused by eax settings for the sound card, it did not solve the problem.
