Better HDD

WD BLACK EDITIONS last for yrs!

I`ve owned at least 10 WD black editions ( from 600gb versions to the latest 4tb one) over around a 10 yr span and have yet to experience a failure! I heartily recommend them!

Better meaning what? Faster? Longer lasting?

I think we need this first..

For storage for example you don't need anything more than a WD green as it's more energy efficient and you don't need the speed which theoretically should mean it lasts longer.

If you want speed then yeah something like a WD black would be great.

I put a Seagate SSHD in my brothers PC and so far it seems like great bang for buck but I'll admit i'm not 100% clued up on the longevity of these. I use a seagate barracuda in my PC and it treats me just fine although I would prob go WD in the future

Better in Speed and i'll put on it the OS / games / videos and all . it'll be the primary and the only disk of my new PC so which is better?
Thanks

The Seagate will be quicker as it hybrid drive, reliability, I don't know about though, but I haven't heard of any disasters with them.

For all round drive, it can't be beaten on paper out of the 2 of them, the black edition is purely mechanical, so should last longer that the seagate drive, but it will be slower though as it not got the SSD drive stuff built into it like the Seagate hybrid drive, but will offer you better reliability.

The choice is yours alone to make, not us, we can only advise, the decision has to come from you, above outlines the main pros and cons of it for you, you can now make a choice on the information you have.

No matter the choice, I hope that you will be happy with your choice, and not sit there after the fact thinking I wish I would of got the other drive.
