right im plannin on pelting my 98xt with a maze 4-1 tec. i also want 2 w/c my northbridge. which is the best rad i can fit comfortably into a pc-65 case?

in my opinion theres no point in water cooling the n/b it doesnt get hot enuff to warrant the cooling, id save all the water for your gfx card mate :) just get a HSF on ure n/b - i use the stock one and its only 30deg at 3.9ghz...

if you can find a car heatercore from a junk yard they nirmally work better than anything (depending on the car) unless you have a 120.3 bit that isn't giong to fit anyway. I also agree about the nb cooling, just wack a h/s/f instead - don't thermalright now make nb heatsinks?

yeah im sure i saw something about some somewhere :) the repositioning of the n/b in the P4C800-E Dx was great as now there is lots of space to but a pretty dman big HSF on it, im waiitng for a nice pretty one to come out b4 i upgrade as the current ones on the market are monstrosaties imo :P i think the built in asus one loooks pretty dman nice so i will use that for aslong as i can :D

right been lookin at this setup, so tell me wat u guys think.

dd maze 4 chipset intel

120.1 rad

dd 12v-d4 pump

typhoon bay res / dual floppy (not sure yet which will work out best 4 space)

50ml water wetter

I've got a DD pump mate and it rocks!

A bit noisier than an hydor but an amazing flow rate.

10 feet of dd clear flex will be plenty with some left over if you miss-cut somewhere!

marci's place has some good nylon hose clamps that look better than jubilee clips.

I'd get purple ice over water wetter though!

Jubilee are better than nylon. Nylon can spring open under pressure. Jubilees can't... plus jubilees are metal so can be polished up to look nice n shiney.

Hi Marci,

how can I get a nice deep green colour for my w/cooling setup?

I'm using clearflex.

and what colour maze 4's(gpu) have you got left mate?

I'm using a ocpc ' twin size' rad in the pc65 , i dont think its available any more but is comparable with the 120.2 in terms of performance & size so the 120.2 would be a good bet . i have a twin bayres too ,leaving me no cd drive bays :( , wish i bought a pc75 now :( :)

Funny you mention that mate, I've just installed a thermochill 120.2 in my PC75 :) Stacks of room.

Dunno fella... you need to find an appropriate dye... or just buy the UV Green tubing...

Er... everything but blue n' red I think...

And a HE120.2 will fit fine in all PC6x cases AS LONG AS YOU DON'T HAVE A DEEP PSU!!

If your PSU is standard depth (about 13.5 > 14cm) it'll fit fine. If it's standard depth but with an external fan on the inner face, you'll have to lop off the fan. If it's deeper than 14 then you'll struggle to get the rad in there.

However... no restrictions on putting it on the base of the case other than losing a PCI slot or two...
