Best overclock Voltages questions.

I'm currently playing around trying to find my best stable overclock.

I am currently trying to get stable at 2900Mhz (215 x 13.5)

Temps are

CPU 38 C

PWMIC 40 C

CHIPSET 45 C

i've upped my cpu vid special control to 107.2% which puts the cpu voltage at 1.608v by my maths. smartguardian reports the cpu voltage at 1.56 and cpuz reports the cpu voltage at 1.568volts.

what would the max voltage for a fx55 ??

apart from DRAM voltage what other voltages should i be thinking about upping to get a stable overclock?

well depending on your mobo no other volts are needed anywhere else.

my setup up really didnt need any volt increase. vcore 1.35 , ram 2.8 (rated 2.7-2.8), everything else normal.

Do prime95 and memtest if they both pass after some hours then ur ok

do NOT use half multi's on A64. It hurts your performance really bad since the processor isnt capable of half multis and it will downclock your ram. if you want 2900 mhz , try 10x290 while running your bh5 on a divider. You will get better performance out of it. And the voltage really depends upon your cooling. I try to keep it below 1.6V. Smartgaurdian isnt always accurate. Try Cpu-z and see what voltage reading you get on there. Most of it is going to be relative and not accurate. But you shouldnt need that much voltage for 2.9 ghz though.

Are you sure about not using .5s on muti?

(goes and changes setup)

trust me , there is probable no one on these forums who knows more about A64 skt 939 and memory than I do. I have played with it for a solid 2 years , starting with early TCCD era. Half multis are bad news on A64 90nm. The 65nm processors are fine with it , most of them even come with half multis as stock.

Thanks for the heads up, now going to change my muti! :)

Yep half multi's are indeed bad
