best graphics card for i3 or amd A8

My mate is building a basic lan party pc to take round to friends for basic gaming against oner another, he hasnt decided on what cpu at the moment but it will either be the i3 2120 or amd llano A8k series.

Just wondering what card would you recomend for either of theese cpus, I have read on a few searches on google that a 6850 can bottleneck a I3 but seems to be fine on a A8

only info I can give is his monitor is a 16:9, 1360 x 768 19 inch...Iv also read that using a high end card on this size of monitor would be a waste....

I'd probably go with a 460 or equivalent. If he plans on upgrading his monitor in the future you might want to go with something like a 560Ti although the 460's can hold their own still.

Low res you could get something cheap like a 6770, can pick them up super cheap these days and fit in pretty much any case.
