Best for £100

I need a new graphics card for around £100ish to order in 2 weeks time. I really can't decide. I have found following and think one of these would be best, but i dont know which.

Saphire X1600 pro (256mb, PCI-E) £95

Asus V9999 (6800, 128mb, AGP) £113 (bit pricey for my budget)

XFX 6600 (256mb, PCI-E) £80

Im most likely going to overclock what ever i get as far as it will go. So theres not much point in falking out for the GT or XT versions of these cards.....right?

Which once of these would be best?

PS, im running a ASrock 939dual SATA2 (native AGP and PCI-E support) so i can switch freely between the two.......or as soon as my 3500+ is deliverd i will be.

This may also be a bit out of your range but the best bang for you buck on the market right now is the 6800GS or 6800GT... Just buy whichever company is selling the cheapest one, for the most part they're generic, a few brands are better than others as they switch up the heatsink etc. but whatever you find for cheap cheap should suit you just fine.

I reckon the x1600 pro or the 6600GT would be your best bet if you can't stretch to a 6800GS

Thanks for the input guys, looks liek its going to be a X1600 pro, as they are cheaper and i need another stick of ram to bring my system up to speed.

Now to get saving...

6800GS are meant to be great vSM3.0 support and they clock pretty well

nvidia card is deffinatly the way to go the 6600 is a good card for the money

Its an XFX card, rebraned for scan, and only £83 for a 6600GT. Bargin! Same card as mine, and they clock like a bitch, with a good cooler.

Pick up a zalman cooler for £20 when you have a bit of extra dosh and your sorted.

I run CS:S with a steady 60fps (1680X1050 2XAA 2XAF) and for £100 thats a bargin!

aria pc had the arctic coolers for the 6600gt's for £10 !! id recomend one for your new card especially if its loud but good XFX.

Thanks for the input guys but ive made up my mind to go for the X1600 pro. 12 pipes to the 6600GTs 8 and twice the RAM (despite it being slower). Hoapfuly in 6 months to a year when games start to test it ill be able to clock it to the XT speeds to (my shitass TFT only supports 1024x768 max, so i cant cram up the rez to push this card too much)

lol dave. just come off the server, its full of wiredos using AWPs ...ok onyl one wiredo using an awp but close enough. If u do need a new gc (fingers crossed you dont) ill let u no iff the X1600 is worth it.

Ok, ive just found a Leadtek Winfast 6800 LE 256mb for £95. If i got this would I be able to unlock it to 12 or even 16 piplines?
