Tried Maplins last week and had to sit down for a bit.

Stuff to source (pc):

4 x Power on/off switches (sexy if possible)

4 x reset switch (that can be sunk)

8 x leds (colors not too critical, as long as 2 colors x 4)

4 x pcb (willing to buy bag`o`boards)

4(++) x 3 pin connectors, male (type u`r cpu fan plugs into)

4 x buzzer/sounder/speakers (just enough to beep, not quack tho)

4 x mobo 20/24 pin connectors, male

4 x mobo 20/24 pin connectors, female

.. and maybe a fistfull of misc stuff, need some solder too I`m out.

Maybe it`s me, but what I wanted topped £52, might`ve been ex vat.

Ugh, I`ve gone over £20 with 10 connectors and a bag of 1 sex contacts.

£20 for a bag of sex contacts? Where do i enter my card details, that sounds cheap whatever it is :p

lmao ya.

Forget RS, they have a lovely physical catalogue, but their website sux arse, and I think minimum ordering is going way over even Maplins.

This has given me a reality check.

Kustom have some nice things, similar-same prices for the most part.

Just freakin added to the Maplin basket too >.<

I`ll hunt them down l8r today, got a few things to do Saturday.

Thanks for the heads up guyz.

Ignore the mainswitch, it`s for a monitor.

Not to keen on the illuminated push switch...think you could get something nicer

rest looks ok tho

U thinking tacky ?

The idea of the missile cover is to not put a normal throw switch under it, but put a concealed reset switch behind it.

Concept is that a 4 pc case utilizing 4 front openings with an easy connector to unplug the case switch/led/speaker jumpers. Mobo connectors are way over the top, but will allow a handful of extra pins for future thoughts and they are good and secure.

It`s wholey possible that on the same pcb for the lower 3 pcs will be usb extensions in the future. I got a few rear mount brackets I may be able to hack apart.
