Thermaltake Big Typhoon, Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme, Zalman CNPS9700, Scythe Ninja. All are good performers, and are some of the better air coolers on the market.

Yeah, the Ultra 120 Extreme is the best out there

Although the IFX-120 does come pretty close, and sometimes beats it when cooling a dual core

Thats kind of a older review...

Its kind of hard to beat the Thermalright Extreme (or most of their other stuff for that matter)

Thats a mighty mass of metallurgy for sure

(hey, I'm an English student, alliteration is my thing)

I tend to avoid huge contraptions like that, if they have to be so big to compete

with smaller blocks theres probably a good reason, such as a crap material.

anyhoo, all those recommended look rather tasty, just follow your heart lol.

The review link is a decent effort, but is old and does not include the revised 120 Ultra.

Mark - what the bananna?! That heatsink is huuuge. I bet it works a charm too

I have never seen a heatsink so big, it uses 2 140mm fans

LOL, I think that heatsink is bigger than my WHOLE case

Though a bit old now the Scythe Infinity and Tuniq Tower with a little modification are great coolers that id recommend as being very good though im not 100% sure whats best atm. Thermalrights coolers are also always great (but you have to pay for it).
