As the title says, what is the best lga775 mobo. and does it support the new 6xx series processors??

DFI 875P-T or Abit AS8 - I've had both, and as long as my replacment DFi continues to work OK, i'd say its the best, otherwise the AS8 is a VERY good choice.

I have a friend with a Abit Fatal1ty, with a eVGA 6600 256MB. Nice system, paired with a Pentium 4 530 (3.0GHz)

you should make XMS an offer

edit: ok, board no longer for sale :o

I would pick the ASUS P5AD2-E Premium. There will be a driver update soon for the 6xx series. It supports 1066MHZ FSB. Not the very best board but one of the best.

Basically all of them are nice, and the Fatal1ty is quite expensive, BUT it has awesome onboard cooling and sweet LED's and its chock full 'o features.

My AS8 is running a 640 with beta bios 17 and my OS is XP x64 :) works like a charm. :p

Nice!

i just returned my AS8 mobo...but i'm regretting it now. These DFI 875P-T's seem to be dying all over the place - getting me worried.

Out of interest, with your chipped overclocked, can you get PAT working?

Performance Accelleration Technology. It was only supposed to be for the 875 chipsets, but a lot of mobo manufacturers hacked the 865 chipset to support it.

It does improve speed a lot.

You can tell if its enabled by running CPU-Z and looking in the memory tab for 'Performance Mode'

Yeah, you should be able to. I think there are two ways to do it.

1. Set 'Game Accelerator' to 'Turbo' (might not boot tho)

2. Set Memory Strap (not ratio) to 800/667 or something like that....

niether of them worked :(

I know that the AN8 Fatal1ty for K8's has a mad lack for higher voltage adjustments in the BIOS, is it the same for the P4 boards? If so, that = pootastic for overclocking.

Never really been a big Abit fan, stick with DFI :) *Or EPoX if ur name is FragTek*
