Best 2133MHz Memory?

I am building a new rig and would like some help choosing memory for the system.

I am looking at 2133MHz sticks and wanted to know which ones people think are the best ones for oc?

Corsair Vengeance Reds are looking like a good option (4x4GB at 11-11-11-27) but just wondered what anyone else uses.

What CPU are you getting? anything above 1600mhz for Sandy Bridge is a waste as you won't get any noticeable benefit over 1600mhz.

If it's for 1366 or 2011 though something like Mushkin Redline Ridgeback or G.Skills Ripjaws would do.

yeah it is for SB so guess im not getting anything above 1600MHz then

Why do motherboards with 1155 sockets advertise thay can handle up to 2133MHz sticks then (like the ASRock Z68 EXTREME7)?

What do you recommend as best 1600MHz sticks at the moment?

Any 2x4gb or 2x2gb sticks of 9-9-9-24 1600mhz will do, just stick with know brands and not the cheap value ram stuff.

It's all the same under the heatsink really, just go for which ever goes with the color scheme of your rig, or the one you think looks the best.

EDIT: They can handle up to 2133mhz but SB doesn't overclock like 1366 and you don't need better ram to get better overclocks. There is a difference between running 1600mhz and 2133mhz but it's that small spending the extra isn't worth it because you wouldn't even notice the difference.

So the best option on SB is to go for 1600MHz sticks as they will OC better over the 2133MHz sticks and show higher results?

Also its best to go for 2 sticks over 4 to help OC?

You don't need to overclock the ram, thats the thing with SB the BLCK stays at 100 so you don't need to mess around with overclocking your ram and getting tighter timings.

You just set the multiplier, so because the BLCK is fixed at 100 it's just 100 * 10 = 1000mhz (1ghz) so for 4.5 ghz you just set the multiplier to 45 and find a stable voltage, and thats it. No need to mess with the ram, better ram will not effect how good your OC is.

Check the guide I posted in my last post above about ram for SB.
