Battlefield 2142 Release Date Slated For October 17

Considering that this game has been on the burner for what seems like ages, it looks like the release date has finally been nailed down. Who's up for some BF 2142 futuristic themed goodness?

Thank God! I can't even wait for this game to be released, it looks so insanely awesome. I can definately see myself skipping work for a week and eating about 10 boxes of caffein pills just to sit around and play this!! :rocker:

It's basically Bf2, where they swapped all the models for futuristic ones and included a titan as a gimmick.

All the vehicles and kits are exactly the same, and have the same functions in Bf2. I'm also wondering if there will be balance issues which take EA a year to bring out a patch to fix.

Sorry but it's just another EA sellout imho

I have been watching the release of this for a while now and since I am a avid bf2 player I will definatly be buying this, preordering it from play.com on my birthday (6th october) so I should get it on the day of release

i can see why bf2 got nerfed.. your one of "those" are you?

2142 kits are completely different, as are the vehicles. yes it's the same engine, yes some of it is the same gameplay, but have u seen it? played it?

it's a new experience and tbh even if it is the same engine. it's a different game. and i WILL be getting it on release day
