Battlefield 1's PC system requirements have been announced

Hahaha my thoughts exactly. So need to buy new cpu, mobo and ram according to DICE. Alot of money to spend for one game..lol

having played this.. I would have an i7 as min cpu for 1080p really seen some people with a 660 online complaining about terrible fps, but they were trying to run 1080p ultra with 100% resolution scale. i personally dont think a 660 is good enough though.

generally the frame rates seem quite random.
one day you get 80+ fps average then next day same settings same 64 player map, you may only get an average of 49..
pretty strange. may be would have been better to throw it on to a ssd?

but yeah my min spec for it would be.
i7 3rd gen. + 970 or something equivalent that should be good enough for 1080p at med-high or high without adding or removing resolution scale.

personally id rather sacrifice some of the textures and crank up the res scale. But with my 780 and i5-2500k i had to aim for med setting and standard resolution scale. Which is strange because on day one, i could play it solid 80fps at high 1080p standard res scale.
dx11 and 12 seem to be near identical performance on my 780.
I also think a rx 480 in dx 12 would suffice for decent 1080p on high. but the cpu needs to be a bit better than my 2500k.

that 7850 they have listed must be expected to run in dx 12 because i dont think it would be any good in dx11 unless you lowered the resolution scale excessively.

Battlefield 1's PC system requirements have been announced, requiring a minimum of a quad-core Intel GPU or a 6-core AMD CPU.

didn't know Intel made quad core GPU's :P

Tell them to not run it at 100% resolution scale, 42% is native

must be running on mantle lol. i mean a 6600k compared to an fx6350 cmon EA

plus the fortune they'll charge you for the game.... oh and put an extra bit of cash to the side for DLC

Didn't you know? One Intel GPU core is equal to a 1000 cuda core's!^_^

Seriously though I have one issue with this spec list. 512KBps?? That's a minimum for this game? Damn that'll be one terrible experience. I know games only do small numerous packet's, but surely this is only going to make there net framework even worse. They have terrible history with "netcode". Hopefully it doesn't continue

the beta runs fine for me in ultra apart from my cpu getting a bit hot but I expected that with a stock cooler...
I just left the settings on auto (as it maxed everything(1080 @ 60hz))
I must say I was quite surprised to be getting 50-70fps...

MB: Gigabyte GA-F2A75M-D3H
CPU: A10 6800k
RAM: 6GB DDR3 1333mhz
GPU: R9 390X 8GB

and nope no SSD...

so I wonder why others struggling...

My i7 3630QM and GTX 670MX are running the beta at High settings and Ultra textures with 35-40 fps. So you take your conclusions about the minimum requirements...

Well, since the game runs well for you... have you considered buying an aftermarket cpu cooler? :D:D

I have an i3 4170 8gb ram and gtx 750 and i run it ultra settings some on high and i get 50fps on 1440x900 these requirments seem a little off

I think, as long as you got a minimum 4gb ram gpu, your able to play it with decent visuals. Lesser cards would have to dial it down. So basically any card up to a couple of years old & DirectX 11 should be ok?

just played the bf1 beta 6600k and a r9 290 4gb maxed 1440p at 55 to 70 fps on the sand map quite pleased with that

Pretty impressive. I myself am using a 6700k, rx480 8GB at 1440p maxed getting 60-80 and in some areas 90FPS. That 5 year old card is kicking butt still^_^
