Basic Overclocking tips

I have a AMD Phenom II X6 1055T and i am looking to overclock it, i have only overclock 1 time before and safe to stay it was a EPIC FAIL ( bye bye core ) so any tip , Advice would be good programme to meansure temp i am a nood so all info is wellcome thanks

I can recomend you a couple of programs for monitoring your temps but I don't know anything about AMD CPUs so I can't help you with overclocking but i'm pretty sure someone else will be able to.

For monitoring your temps the best three programs are Cupid Hardware Monitor, Real Temp and Core Temp. I use Cupid HWM myself and think it's the most accurate but Core Temp and Real Temp are still good and it's down to personal preference really, some people prefer one over the other, just decide on which one you find to be the best for you.
