Ban Monopoly board game ?

After hearing about this incident on friday`s radio. I did a search for a linky so u guyz can appreciate the background.

What makes it ironic to me, is if u replace Monopoly with... CSS, there would be full media coverage out-cry to get the game(s) banned.

Ban Monopoly ? Kinda shines a foolish light on the call for banning of some video games to me.

How can you blame a board game that has been around for years?

If anything this was the competitive nature of the people involved. Makes me cross. :(

I think it was just the reporter trying to make the story seem a bit different. Although, 4 mentally ill teenagers killing a runaway girl and then trying to cover up after themselves with the faux-rape, bleach and detergent seems like enough of a story to me.

The fight wasn't even over the game, it was about a jealous girlfriend think the guy was paying too much attention to the runaway.

True though, if the game had been any FPS they were playing, then it would no doubt have been a media frenzy.

But look at it this way, if they failed to ban GTA then how in gods name will they ban Monopoly?
