Hi,

Do I have bad voltages on my psu, they jump around a lot. They dont seem to reach the standard voltage levels

I have ultra x connect 500w.

3.3v is fine, 3.23v is more than acceptable.

+12v is VERY low.

I reccomend Enermax, & OCZ.

I personally luff Enermax.

The only real good OCZ is the Powerstream.

The Modstreams aren't very good, |3ourne said.

12v is only a little weak .. it mainly drives motors NOT VOLTAGE SENSITIVE ELECTRONICS ... the 3.3 is too low for my liking tho (dont like the line feeding my ram/cpu to deviate -.05V)

WHAT? Ever heard of the +12v 4-Pin connector? The two wires are Yellow, eguy, and unless your even dumber than I thought, you can tell your colours.

Yellow = +12

nicks as a general rule 12v is for heavy duty items like fans and motors where voltage increases drive...

3.3v is for electronic components where increased voltage could kill the component and it is easier to step down 3.3 to 1.* V than it is to step 12V to 1.*v and u get much greater control stepping 3.3 to 1.* the atx 4 is most likley used to drive fans connected to the mobo freeing up more of the atx20s amps for electronics etc

Pfffft... No mention of PCP&C ;) hehe

Both P4's and AMD's DO use the 12v rail for the processor. Thats what the 4-Pin connector near the CPU is for as NickS stated.

This is why dual rail PSU's are around. It uses 1x12v rail for the CPU, and the other for cd-rom/hard disk etc.

Do a search on google for "overclocking 12v rail what used for" if you want to turn up some more info.

your problem is your nf4 board without an atx 2.0 psu. you need a natural 24pin psu according to dfi street. also have you plugged all 4 power connectors into the board?
