Bad DIMM slot??

So I was testing RAM yesterday. Replaced the one stick I can access (without removing my Noctua NH-D14),and after running memtest for a few hours, I used my pc for a few hours more (new stick in place)before I went to bed--nothing heavy: internet stuff, a little streaming, reading forums, etc.

I wake up this morning and my PC is crashed--wtf.

I reboot, it posts, but doesn't go into windows. It sort of "stalls out" on the black screen just before the microsoft logo should pop up and welcome you. (I noticed at the top of the screen there was a small band of multi-colored dots--whatever.) I assume it's the new stick I had been using but try re-seating it and rebooting. It boots with the same result--nada.

I replace it with the old stick that has been in my PC for, well, it's whole life (about 2.5 yrs or something). Same thing. Rinse and repeat--nothing. I re-seat the old stick (the one I am sure is good)and again, black screen just before I get into windows.

I am about to give up and on the 2nd or 3rd (at this point i can't remember) re-seating of this stick I am in.

I'd guess this is a Bad DIMM? Mb I damaged it while switching out that one stick? What do people think?

Regardless, I ordered a bench on Monday and it should be in tomorrow or Friday--I'm selling my Lian Li. I'm gonna tear this thing down and check each DIMM at a time with all of my 6 Mushkin sticks I have laying around--hopefully I'll get to the bottom of this.
