AVerMedia teases what could be a capture card with two inputs

They are a bit late with this. Dual system streaming setups are going away. NVENC in OBS is so good that you don't need another system for streaming. And if you use proper camera for your mug shot an USB capture card will do great.

You say that, but what if you are streaming a console? Capture cards aren't going away.

A lot of people also prefer external capture as it avoids software conflicts.

You can definitely stream without a capture card, but the market will still be there.

Not to mention DSLR with HDMI output is far better than any webcam - though obviously very pricy as well.

Yeah there are lots of new streamers coming from film/TV/comedy backgrounds and finding their income on Twitch, and these guys tend to avoid webcams and go for DSLR's via HDMI, sometimes with multi-camera setups too, and some quite like to play older console games casually, usually they're Sony A7ii's or Canon 5D/7D kinda models, but generally also with lenses that cost several times more than the camera.

Apparently comedians jumping to Twitch is a particularly common thing for the UK compared to other regions though, but something like 70% of comedy clubs will vanish from bankruptcy by the time they can re-open and filming has been limited so makes sense(Limmy, Iain Lee, Bilal Zafar, James Buckley, some UK examples).
