Auzentech Activation Process

Just as a matter of fact, I went off to the Azen site to see if there were newer drivers for the Xfi Prelude - and there was - but, I have to register to be able to download..

.. then enter a serial to create an activation key.

.. then on installing the driverset, give an explaination for the install.

Think it`s Dolby Digital Live related.

You have to register to get drivers? Pfft.. not like you can pirate hardware.

No but a certain gentleman released a Dolby Digital Live Unlocker for Creative SB X-Fi series 1.0.0.0. He provided a link to download the Auzentech driver from their website and an unlocker to enable Dolby Digital Live on other X-Fi soundcards. Basically the demand on the download servers affected their customers and it also threatened Auzen's licensing agreement with Dolby...so I can understand why they're slightly p155ed.
