ATi's Stream SDK Offers OpenCL Support

This gets me wondering if Stanford can use this to develop a folding client to utilise all the power of the latest cards?

Stanford have already said they will need to make a new client to properly use the 5000 series power. They are proper little number crunchers, kinda hoping this might close the red/green ppd gap

Here's an opencl demo running on an AMD gpu (beta) : http://fireuser.com/blog/opencl_path_tracer_ray_tracing_demo_using_the_amd_opencl_beta_sdk/

It's about time AMD got opencl within it's sdk, my fear with only nVidia having it in their sdk for such a time was that opencl would go the way of opengl. Not so much that it's not anygood, but not enough devs use it. I would assume the driver classes for it would be in Cat 9.12 ?

Gonna go search April's OC3D news for nVidia's sdk to see if it got similar headlines. Hope I'm pleasantly surprized and find it officially posted.
