ATI Radeon Xpress 1100

I am having lag problems whilst playing Battlefield 2142, and I believe the problem could be related to my graphics card.

The lag seems to be happening in a particular recurring pattern in which the games runs fine for around 2-3 minutes, and then suddenly starts to lag unplayable for around 30 seconds. Then it continues to run fine, and then the lag comes back exactly 2-3 minutes later. I've tried various things to try and sort it out, but I thought maybe it could be something to with my graphics card.

So I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to sort this really annoying problem out, or anything I should check in my settings to see if my graphics card is running as it should.

Also if theres any other information that you think I should tell you, please just ask.

uninstall ur graphics driver, reboot, run driver cleaner pro, reboot, install the latest drivers for ur card from the ati website.

thats what worked for me wen css kept freezing/lagging every few mins.

Well that GPU isn't exactly top line, and how much RAM do you have?

Isnt xpress onboard?

bf2 takes allot of ram my 7900 stutters with a gig of ram so your best bet is get some more ram

2142 wont need another gig of ram...its just the xpress series are onboard...for laptops basically so its not going to run smooth either way. More ram would allow more ram useage (intergrated shares ram) so either

New gpu

More ram

or both

2142 and BF2 need 2gb of RAM at decent settings from experience

I kinda presumed he/she was running at minimal settings if the gpu was onboard
