ATI GPU with nVidia chipset motherboard?

I appreciate this is probably a *really* stupid question, but should I expect to encounter any problems if I were to run my ATI X1900XT on the EVGA NF680i SLi motherboard? I don't need to have an nVidia card to get the best out of this board, do I?

I'm looking at pairing the NF680i with 2Gb of OCZ 8500 SLI (out of stock as most places at the moment unfortunately), but I don't want to replace my video card.

Thanks. I knew it was a stupid question, but it's been so long since I built a new rig that I'm playing catch up. I foolishly listened to a friend who had said there'd probably be some compatibilty issues.

No there wouldn't be at all. ATI and nVidia are competitors but even they're not that stupid as to stop one working on the other ;)

I have been using ATI cards with nVidia motherboards for years. nForce 3 250GB, nForce 4 Ultra and nForce 570 Ultra with Radeon 9700 and X800XL. I have never run into any problems. No compatibility or stability concerns at all.
