ASUS Z370 Strix E and Strix F Review

Thank you Tom

This is why I come here and read your reviews and watch the videos. No Tarted up or wishy washy side stepping the issue. Strait talk and its what I need out of a review.

Thank you Sir!

Nice. This is the kind of stuff that gives some of my missing faith in humanity back; calling people on they need to be called on. Good job Tom.

Good Timing

I've been trying to overclock my 8700K with the ASRock Taichi and I think that it might be suffering from excessive vdroop too.
If i change the LLC settings it makes little to no difference to stability so i have to crank up the Vcore. After watching this video i think that i'll revert back to stock for the time being and overclock again in a few weeks.

A " no bull crap" review....the marks of a honest reviewer. Saw your video about it as well and 100% agree with you.

Well done. Asus needs to smarten up.

Oh boy, mommy just slapped daddy at the dinner table! Epic rant there Tom and Asus tut tut hang your heads in shame I hope the ITX Strix can redeem it for you.

Usually I would be all over Asus like a rash. However, I am going to cut them some slack. Intel has rushed the effing balls off of this release in desperation and I can understand why Asus may feel rather disillusioned by the whole affair. They didn't sound too happy with Intel in the interview I read just last week. Far from happy...

To add. Who in their right mind is going to buy a motherboard now for a vaporware CPU any way? I guess Asus had to come to market with something (because otherwise they would lose sales to every one else) but yeah, CPU you can't buy is CPU you can't buy.

hey tom, could you confirm the new bios update(s) fix the vdroop/LLC issue? thanks! :D
Any reasonable reviewer would do that. Check if the fixed BIOS solves the issue, and then put an update under the article.

But it's not there... I guess rants get more clicks?

Ive just not had a chance to rebuild it and recheck it - Ive been working on the new reviews not going back and doing the old ones.
