Hey Tom

I have a quick question is it an ATX sized board or EATX? Considering it if I want to move to Z170 after Christmas bonus time.

Why oh why would you move from Z97 to Z170 ? Performance difference isn't worth it.

If you're willing to spend that type of money you might aswell go X99 for roughly the same price and get more cores and PCI-E lanes :)

Hmm already thinking of customisation.
Will require a 6 or 10 hair brush and some gorgeous silver paint.
If fill all those runs with a thin bright silver pain along with the logo for Maximus VIII, either repaint the Supreme FX logo Silver Or what colour scheme I decide to go same with the red around the ROG logo LED's on that little heat sink.
Also the red stickers or paint would be Silver or most likely blue as that's the colours id want to go.

Then the fiddly bit of changing the lens on the start and maybe reset button.

Id then think of putting LED's under the mobo to back light before the case goes in.

Probs go with 4x4Gb (4x8Gb expensive lol) ram sticks id like Plats but could be expensive, not sure on frequency right now as im not sure what the equivalent 1866Mhz would be. And no i would not put the fan thing that they have on it as that ruins them.
Id then change the light pipe to a Blue again.

As for GPU obvs would be twin 980ti i like EVGA cards so maybe the one below the Kingpin as thats not really gonna be anygood.

I would either get clear blocks for the GPUS or see whats available and either have blue leds in the clear ones or run a LED strip below the gpu hidden but enough to highlight it.

SSD id go m.2 for OS and make a custom shroud saying Remember300 and the manufacturer I go with for it.

Id actually like to make it in my C70 with the 5.25 cages and 3.5 removed it has plenty of space for a thick ish rad with push-pull and a top rad, I would use anodised copper pipe in blue, with more than likely just a clear fluid with additives to stop mold.

Not sure on Pump and res but that can be looked into with 2x 512 GB SSD's in raid for games and my 860i PSU or If i can get the next one up i would but 860 watts should be enough.
Lastly the custom window would be slightly smoked so when off it hides a few bits then white LEDs to make everything pop around the inside lip ...

Ive not thought about this much lol

maybe a 6700k for CPU
