Absolutely love the look of this. Looks a bit to the ASUS X99 Deluxe. Can't wait to see some more details on this

Offft do want, looks a lot like the deluxe at Ninja has said an i love the deluxe.shame i wont be upgrading with having a decils canyon cpu at 4.6ghz already, it would just be a waste of money of a timy pump in performance

Those memory lanes appear to be DDR3, I thought they were going for DDR4 with Skylake ? Unless it's just the angle.

"Below we also get to see Intel's new LGA 1051 socket, which will support Intel's Skylake CPUs. Right now it is unknown if ASUS as an OC Socket planned for this CPU, or if it is passable with this CPU."

Don't really like this look.. could have added little bit more white. Otherwise it's mainly just black with two tiny white blocks

This may be the wrong forum to ask this ... but are there any brands left, that design purely from a functional point of view?

I'm somewhat annoyed with all the thought (and time and money) that goes into visual design elements. This adds nothing to the performance, only to the bill - and in a worst case scenario a better functional design is turned down for something that looks better.

This board is by far NOT the worst. I just came to think of it when I saw the cutouts in the heat spreaders and immediately though "that's likely not a optimal design".

One thing that I really really do like about this particular board is the spacing they have put between the first two pcie lanes it will allow for really good breathing room even for thicker graphics cards nice work Asus

Yeah, and not only that, but the socket shown in the close up is very different from the one shown in the mobo pics, check out the center components. As far as I can tell, the mobo being shown is in every single respect that I can detect, a Z97 Deluxe/USB 3.1 with different heatsinks attached. Check them side by side. Maybe they ran out of time for the show and had to slap together a stand-in?

Pain in the back side if you were to have a standard SLI connector you wanted to use though  good for AMD cards though.
