Apart from anything else, I like increasing audio competition for Creative. Not just from ASUS. So I welcome this without any prejudice as to if it`s any good or not

Exactly, a little competition is healthy. It'll be interesting to see if the Xonar can compete where others have failed, and subsequently been gobbled up by Creative.

Indeed, it would be interesting to see some kind of Creative vS Azen vS ASUS vS VIA?? .....

Open to speculation as to how u would criticize that outside of some1`s person audio taste. (every1 has a different personal flavor, can notice different things)
