Hello mates,

Yesterday I built a new rig for one of my friends and I'm run into a XMP issue.

System Specs:

Mobo: ASUS X99 Deluxe USB 3.1
CPU: Intel Core i7-5960X
Memory: HyperX Predator DDR4-3000MHz 32GB Kit CL15
VGA: ASUS STRIX R9 390X 8GB OC
SSD: HyperX Predator 240GB
SSD: HyperX Savage 480GB
HDD: WD Green ERZX 4TB
PSU: NZXT Hale90 1000W
CASE: NZXT Phantom 530 Black
Cooler: Corsair H110GT Performance

Latest BIOS is in use.

The issue is that when we set XMP Enabled in BIOS it set everything automaticaly (I change it also to manual settings).
It automatically set BCLK to 125MHz and the CPU Core Voltage is increased to 1.200V and ring voltage is also set between 1.1920 and 1.2.
In normal usage its works fine but under heavy load (benchmarks and rendering) it fails, or reboot after BSOD.

I did a fast research yesterda evening and I found that that it may give not enough voltage to the core but gives too much for the memory. (memory voltage 1.395-1.4000). The moduls should be work on 1.350V according to its specifications. So I looked around a bit and I think i will have to increase the Core Voltage.

If you have any experience with this cpu please share your thoughts.

Thanks for your help!

I will post some pictures about the rig. I think its beautyfull. ;)

The DRAM volts should be 1.35v

If its not passing some tests then youll just need to fiddle with the other voltages. This is why XMP isnt always the perfect answer. 3000MHz is still a lot for one of the 2011-3 CPU's.

Im pretty sure a splattering of volts will fix it though

Right then i will try out some settings whit it, and will came back with the results.

Thanks for your help! :)

Please elaborate! I'm having similar issues, system locks up at anything above 2400 Mhz. Tried it first with XMP and then again manually, I cannot get the memory to run at it's rated speed, running the same board and 3200 memory. I do have to admit that I am new to the ASUS UEFI Bios, still looking around tying to find proper adjustments. Very different from what I'm used to. Any Help would be great!
Thanks
