ASUS X99 Deluxe/U3.1 Memory Issues

Hello
So even though this is still a work in progress I wanted to get some time in on it before I had to take it apart and install the cooling loop.

This Build is In the Build Logs Section under Welcome to The Machine.

It's an ASUS X99 Deluxe/U3.1
Intel 5930K
32 GB Corsair Dominator Platinum 3200Mhz CAS 16
(For the Moment It has a EVGA GTX 590 in it, That changes later today when The GTX 980Ti shows up)
Booting from a Samsung 950 Pro 512 GB NVME Drive.

This thing OC's Like a champ hit 4.5 out of the box at 1.25v The memory however has been giving me issues. No matter what I try It Hangs, gives error codes for modules, sometimes memory, but usually some other module. It seems to hit a wall at just shy of 2400mhz. Like I said in my other thread I'm not fluent in ASUS BIOS terminology, I'm coming up from the X58 Chipset where I could see what the changes were doing on the same page. I am just not sure what I am missing with this.

Maybe I lost at the lottery this time since it is dependent on the CPU.

Rather than trying to explain it all I have a couple of screen shots for you so you can tell me if I've gone looney.

CPUZ Screens

Bios Shots

This is the basic Page, note also that the CPU fan isn't showing up. The CPU Speed is shown at stock and the memory is shown at 2400, but XMP profile is enabled.

Advanced Main Page Same thing.

Ai Tweaker Page, Note the XMP Profile is enabled above it but still reports 2400 Mhz.

Not sure if this has anything to do with it DRAM SPD Write ability???

The XMP Timings are in place though.

Thanks to anyone who cares to help on this one.

Hi

Please let me know how you get on with this,
I have the same Board

my memory is:

Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200 CL16

I have 4x8GB sticks.

im able to get my CPU O.C from a 3.5ghz to a 4.6ghz stable through the asus software, however my 3200mhz memory is only running at 2100mhz before the O.C
after the O.C I can get it to 2400mhz just like yourself..

a long way from 3200mhz...

pretty dissapointing

Just manually set it dude. (auto in the timings means XMP isnt being enabled) You probably need to update the bios. Also why have you changed the cache so low?

For 3200mhz youll need to play around with some of the side line volts too because its actually a big ask from the CPU

You just need to set it up right dude. 100% user error on yours nothing to do with the board.

Yes that's about where mine hits a wall as well 2400mhz. The issue I found with the software is that is just that, software. It does not do anything in the BIOS except turn on the XMP profile, it also means that you need to load the config every time you boot or restart the machine. Kind of a waste of time. I set it up manually in the BIOS and tried multiple voltage and ratio adjustments but it just wont go beyond 2400. I looked at the module compatibility list and the only 3200 compatible kit is a 16GB kit. The 32GB kits stop at 2400 except for a Gskill kit that is 3000mhz. Just a note about temps, take the ASUS sensor with a grain of salt, it persistently reads 10 degrees higher than what the chip sensor is saying, adjust your pump and fan profiles accordingly. ;)

Found a wired little kink today. Apparently my WALL, wasn't. When I moved from 2400 to the next level 2600. The system would fail out no matter what I did. well just for kicks I went up one more step, and it posted! I thought I had reached a cap but apparently something doesn't like 2600 and 2800 as speeds for the memory. I made it all the way to 3000! Whoot! I still havn't gotten it to post up at 3200 but that's a lot closer than that 2400 wall I thought I had.
