ASUS TUF Gaming GT501 PC Case Review

Why do some case manufacturers still insist on blocking off half of the front panel, rather than just coming up with some kind of design, such as the Fractal Torrent and hence make the front panel more airflow friendly.

The Torrent has gotten the reputation it has for a reason, why other companies still insist on blocking off half the front panel for a solid plastic or metal plate is beyond me.

Objectivelly looks better, way cleaner and more office friendly and this sells more than performance. After all one office can buy dozend of these cases, while informed consumers maybe will by one every year if they have good financial health and are very enthusiastic as to do so.

I sure have never seen any office with this kind of a case inside of it, not sure where you have though. Most offices I've seen use Dell, Lenovo etc.

Most offices dont use a desktop. Its more beneficial and cost efficient to use laptops now. So yeah, cant see a case like this ever being seen in an office. Maybe an SMB would use a desktop, but never with a gaming case...

With office I meant businesses, yeah, your run of the mill lawyer office or administrative building will use thin clients, laptops or NUC-like PCs, but desktops are still largely employed by art and design schools, art, design, video, etc offices as well, TV broadcasters will employ desktops for their editing staff and, of course, game studios, etc. This kind of closed-off front panel case was made popular back in the day by NZXT, I've seen so many NZXT cases in such enterprises at that time it made me think they were good. I was studying Computer graphics at the time and I used to visit many studios. RN I do have a full-time job but I work as a freelancer 3D artist as a side job, and frequently visit the workplace of architects, one local game development company, also the northeastern HQ of the largest TV broadcaster in my country, and I still see so many desktops with solid front face cases, but they do vary a lot in brand nowadays.
