That depends. Gaming monitors have monitor features and DisplayPort. TVs don't. TVs also have auto dimming feature. It is uber annoying. I hope ASUS removes it from this monitor.
Maybe in a recent update. One of the advantages of QD-OLED (both Alienware 21:9 and Sony TV) was that they don't autodimm when you change the size of the white window.
Although all of those specs sound wonderful I would still go with 21:9 monitor. 4K is just too much for GPUs. And because height is roughly the same as 27" monitors you can play in 2560x1440p with black bars.
I have recently experienced PC gaming on LG C1. And OMG i have played WoW for 15 years and I haven't realized how beautiful that game is until I tried it on OLED. Tomb Rider with HDR... No comment. Gaming on OLED is just another level.
Now I am on a quest to replace every single display in my life with OLED. How and with what money I don't know. I just know I need to do it. MSI MEG 342C QD-OLED probably for my PC because I don't like G-Sync Module in Alienware. It is too restrictive.
If and when Samsung manages to make 27" 2560x1400p QD-OLED panels that are 144Hz+, and partners can make monitors for $400-$500 IPS and VA will just stop existing. As i have said this monitor sounds amazing on paper but no one can run 4K with proper graphics in high fps.
