Asus Sabretooth X58 USB 3.0 Probs

OK I purchased a 8GB USB 3.0 Stick mainly to transfer Xvids etc to Quicker, to watch Movies and Tv Shows around the house, But for some reason i am still getting 15.1mb/s and nothing nowere near the 3.0 speeds any ideas... I have installed the Drivers from the Mobo CD and its activated in the Bios it is defiately a 3.0 Stick... This should go at about 70mbs at least Yes ?? Tearing my hair out now... Help !

try checking for updated drivers from Asus, Maybe there are newer ones out there.

what brand of usb drive? as ive seen cheap ones not being as fast as usb is meant to be

Look inside the plug, there should be 5 additional metal contacts at the back to the usual 4 in front.

Yeah there all there. Must be a driver issue then ? Anyone else got the same board and have working USB 3.0?

doesnt actually give you any speeds

but this is what im meaning, i know the price differences are huge but it seems that all cheap ones are crippled

Yeah that really sums this up then.. I thought USB was a Standard and that regardless of what device you got the better speeds. Didnt realise it was more like SSD and the speed is determind by the actual device when manufactured.. Or well another 8GB USB pen wont go a miss with the other 6 i have lol.. ha ha thanks for your help.
