ASUS ROG Ryuo 240 and Ryujin 360 AIO Liquid Cooler Review

Great review, Personally wouldn't use AI suite for the fans, I'd just plug the fans into a separate fan controller and do it that way.

This is the new generation of coolers, displaying gifs and others stuff on its lcd screen.

It's nothing new apart from the fact it's glued to the pump.

2009, IIRC. You bought them like this for £18.

Then you can program it, much like the one Asus are using.

I fitted mine into the front of my Bitfenix case, then all of a sudden Bitfenix release a case with a mini screen in. *Jeremy Clarkson* "Some say it's coincidence, others that they stole the idea" :D I mean that in jest btw, but yeah manus have been stealing ideas from modders for years and years. But aye, you could have done this yourself 9 years ago.

Really AI suite, LOLOLOLOLOLOL Never in a million years would I allow that piece of junk software on my PC..... Come on Asus, get rid of the interns developing the software and bring in some real developers....

PS TTL should have published the results showing the crappy temps on quiet and medium fan speeds.

I’ve personally got myself the 240 version and I’m very happy with it. Only gripe I have (so far) are that the tubes could’ve been a bit shorter. Other than that a very nice looking cooler if you ask me :)

Kinda feel that the results should be shown. If Asus cant provide decent software then that should be that and consumers could get a fair opinion on which CLC to buy. As it stands this is the second best cooler on your charts and given awards despite software that is designed to monitor temperatures not actually monitoring temperatures on a product specifically designed to cool. Seems biased that you would only show results that paint this in a good way

Definitely biased results in favour of Asus, not everybody checks the video, some people just check the graphs..

Not just for this review. Every cooler that comes out in the next year or so is going to compared to this graph. £230 for a cooler that only works with fans at full power and it gets awards... Value used to be important to this site, even used to be a measure at the end of every review.

Got to agree with the boss , that fan on the block is a bit of a gimmick , and ive seen a couple of other people saying its loud and the software needs sorting , also the display on the ryujin is very faint when top cover is on , Maybe the should of just made a 360 version of the ryuo and put the noctura's on that range

Did ASUS say they were going to release an update or was that a suggestion?

Hi Tom,

I'm thinking about getting one of these but I'm hoping you can clarify something from the review. You said you spoke to ASUS and then said that they should update the software to provide the correct temp. Was that your suggestion here or did they actually say they were going to release an update? It's really a make or break choice for me on that one.

Thanks!

No they didnt say they would update it - I said I hoped they would.

Only time will tell if they bother. Either way it will get an update video about it.

The cooler works really well once the fans do spin, Ive actually gone about it this way to show they CAN work but that the software is a bit retarded atm. Im actually hoping they will push through an update asap so that in the long run I help make the products better.

All the other results saw numbers past our threshold of passing anyways so they actually wouldnt even be in the graph anyways so technically your point is mute.

I get your point though.
