A new entry to the Maximus IX range, the Apex is all about stripped down, hardcore overclocking. We put it to the test.
ASUS ROG Maximus IX Apex Motherboard Review
Thanks Tom dude much appreciated.
It's over 4000!!!!!
The M.2 thing makes my teeth itch, surely there is a better solution maybe a daughter board which could use a SSD bracket and ribbon too it.
My current case is a Phanteks Evolv ATX TG. I've seen a build with an EATX board (272mm) just barely fit in there. Can you tell me if the listed width (27.2cm) includes the protruding corners? Thanks for any help.
I know this is pretty stripped down in the audio department, but do you think it will run my Sennheiser DT990 Pro 250ohm headphones?
You mean Beyerdynamic?
Oh yes, doh, stupid me lol!
I know I could just use a DAC, but I'd rather avoid that if possible.
Did He say there may be an Apex Xtreme coming...? If so do you have a tentative date...? I was going to buy this one until you said that....
That kind of makes the M.2 pointless and just creates a SATA SSD... the M.2 board on this is direct to the PCH which over SATA is lightning fast.@Wraith...Ableconn IU2-M2132 M.2 NVMe SSD to U.2 (SFF-8639) 2.5-Inch SSD Adapter with Aluminum Frame Bracket - Turn M.2 NVMe SSD as U.2 (SFF-8639) 2.5" Solid State Drive
