ASUS reveals the pricing and specifications of it TUF Gaming RTX 3080/3090 GPUs

I don't believe these prices for a second.

When Etailers know about ASUS being more expensive then you can for sure expect them to push the TUF price up in line with the other ASUS models to gain a higher profit, even if they come at a lower cost to the etailer. You can already see it here.

It converts to over £1600...

I can categorically tell you that card was nearly £700 a couple of days ago. NONE of them were that price then.

Maybe, finally, these companies are going to step up to stop the gouging.

They don't have to though, that is the unfortunate drawback. If an Etailer wants to charge that price, and other Etailers follow suit, then that is what we get.

I doubt ASUS will state it has to be sold at a given price. Especially when there will be such demand on launch day.

OcUK are a bad example though as it's well known they tend to put their own "Tax" on top of prices like ASUS.

They all do it. Every single one of them. OCUK put up their prices, wait for Scan, then undercut Scan by a few quid every single time.

The only place that really prices independently is CCL, and even those can be really weird also.

But they all gouge. When I bought my KP I paid £1800. As soon as Covid hit? £1999.

It's not like they were expecting supply issues on those. Firstly they were made in severely limited numbers and secondly they weren't going to get any more. Each were allocated a small number and that was it.

Dont forget the GBP took a temporary hammering, which has to be factored in.

pre lockdown $1= 0.69 gbp
post lockdown $1= 0.87 gbp

For me OC versions are always worth the extra. They are slightly better binned. More likely, regular versions are duds that can only do basic specs. With OC versions you at least get to roll the dice on silicon lottery.

Anyone that knows if that "TUF GAMING" logo on the graphics card are RGB or not?

Would crash quite badly with many builds, aestethically wise, if the card has like a fire colouring to the text on the edge of the card.

Would it be an idea to get a (probably) better binned edition from Nvidia @ 650 then add a waterblock?

If you're spending this type of money on a card then it would be a better idea to get the Founders Edition straight from Nvidia as Nvidia always keep the best silicon for themselves.

I would love to do that. Sadly, they dont get sold here. And to import that to Norway will put it at 23000nok... slight difference for the one im getting that 15000.

I could buy a 3090 and a 3070 for that price.
