ASUS releases pricing and release date of their ROG Swift PG27UQ G-Sync HDR monitor

27" is too small for 4K res. There would be no sense in buying this monitor even if it was £500.

Sure there would, but not for gaming.

I got a XPS13 laptop with "almost 4k" (3200x1800) resolution, and that thing is so crisp!

For an early adopter style pricing. it is too unrealistic. I see reviewers and the Richie Rich buying it but thats it.

Same resolution on my XPS15 and I've run that since day one at 2048x1152 as native is just too small to deal with. Interface scaling is not an option either as it's hit and miss as to whether it works or not. Hell running 4K on my 55" tv with my pc isn't much good either as you still have to sit within 3 feet of it for smaller text to be easily readable.

I might get this for my side-rig. Put it in the den. Beside my vintage miniature Porche collection. It'll make my Custom Shop Fender Tele really 'pop'.

Now only if they could get a 3440x1440 40inch monitor that would be nice.

I recently saw a 34" in person and I am now on Dices side. It looks very narrow indeed. It was more narrow than the 28" 4k Samsung next to it. So at least a 40inch monitor would be nice with these spec's

I think the Ultrawide res and even aspect ratio would need to change to accommodate a bigger vertical height, Although I'm not sure what that would be.
